IASB-MASB Outreach on IFRS 18: Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements
In collaboration with the International Accounting Standards Board, the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) will be organising an engagement session focusing on the newly issued IFRS Accounting Standard, IFRS 18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements.
In April 2024, the IASB published IFRS 18 which sets out presentation and disclosure requirements for financial statements with the objective of improving communication of financial information in the financial statements, particularly the statement of profit or loss. IFRS 18 will replace
IAS 1 Presentation of Financial Statements.
This session which will be presented by IASB board members, Mr. Florian Esterer and Ms. Rika Suzuki, not only provides an opportunity to hear directly from the IASB on IFRS 18, but also network with peers from the financial reporting community in the region.

Two separate sessions will be held on the same day:
• Session 1 is tailored for conglomerates and public listed companies
• Session 2 is designated for financial institutions (banks and insurance companies).
